In 1855 Kerry Heysen-Hicks’ great grandparents began farming on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

It took one hundred and forty five years for family tradition to be followed when viticulturists Kerry and her husband Scott Hicks began growing grapes in the Kuitpo area of the Adelaide Hills at Yacca Paddock Vineyards.

A cool climate vineyard planted in the year 2000. From the inception the focus was on designing a vineyard that would grow premium quality grapes and to introduce some lesser known varieties. Therefore included in the plantings of Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Tempranillo were Durif, Dolcetto and Tannat and Arneis.

Kerry & Scott’s life in the film industry demands passion and a standard of excellence, which they have brought to their role as viticulturists. They share a philosophy and practice of environmental responsibility in their pursuit to grow the best grape for the perfect wine.
